Sorry I can't write in German language!
![]() But I hope somebody will translate. O course I am also not happy that there appear awful diseases in CsW breed. The only thing I do is give information about these diseases to people and do my best to give genetic info to research labs. And sometimes it is possible to validate a genetic test for a disease. But:
I only know we can close our eyes for what is disappearing in the breed. Or we can test now how it is spread in the breed. (and later on we can together think how we together can solve these problems) And yes, it costs money to test ... But when you choose "breeding is your hobby" it costs money like all other hobby's . And when you want to help to improve the breed you also have to consider what you personal can do for the "hidden problems" But this will always be a personal choose of individual owners and breeders! I only can assure you that in time you all can be faced with these kind of diseases..... ![]() And I also can assure you that is very confrontational and annoying... ![]() For example today I was on university with a CsW dwarf pup for investigations to see if she could be treated and is was not funny at all... And I also prefer a healthy normal wolfdog puppy ! ![]() I also did meet there people with a dog with DM and did hear their stories... Of course we can deny these diseases in CsW breed, but they do exist! Here some video's about DM and what it is like General info: http://www.akcchf.org/video/viewer.cfm?vid=1 A 8 years GSD with DM: Here some photo's of dwarfism A wolfdog without treatment ![]() A wolfdog with GH treatment ![]() CsW dwarf puppy ![]()
