I don't think the AKC could come out and say "puppy mills are OK" even if they put out a press release saying this!!
Imagine having a litter every month?? What kind of rescue-filling puppy producing factory must you have to do that? This is one a month almost!

Its not a big surprise, in uk they dogs that have bad hips and eyes can be bred from even when they have it printed on there pedigrees and the pups from such dogs are registered by kennel club, the FCI turn a blind eye as well with bitchs having 4 litters in 2 years, its nothing to do with dogs or healthy animals its all to do with MONEY.
