It normally occurs in the age of 5-12 month. I´ve never seen a case as young as your dog (I think the German dog was 5 or 6 month old), was he x-rayed or just looked at? There are other diseases with likely symptoms.
Protein-high diets have been discussed as a reason, but not been verified. Ina |
