Hi again. Sorry for the late reply but we were running new tests.

The results are the following:Urine tests show nothing else but pure blood cells. No bacteria, no crystals, nothing that could signify an infection. All other blood tests remain pretty much at the same levels as in the beginning. In other words according to the tests the dog is perfectly healthy. We took all the results of the tests (including the ultrasound scan, which showed a small amount of cluttered blood in the blatter) to the University of Athens. They were reviewed by a professor and he concluded that the dog needs to be examined through a surgery.

He fears that he suffers from a form of idiopathic renal hematuria. That is one or both kidneys are damaged hence the blood in the urine. Through the surgery they will be able to have a close look at the blatter. If sth appears there (that is not evident in the ultrasound scan) then they will fix it. If not they will insert two small tube in the kidneys (through the blatter) and see if they get blood. If this is the case then the kideny that produces blood needs to be removed. If both kidneys have a problem then it is up to me to decide wether to keep him as is but he will be administered with antibiotics for the rest of his life, without ever being certain that the dog will have a normal life.

I really do not know what to do. I was told that this is a rather rare case.
