The situation in Spain is the following one:

Until 2009 there were the officially inscribed ones in our country 69 dogs, there is this is necessary to add the baby boon of this year, it is necessary to add the dogs that come from Europe and are not inscribed here, and to the total we reduce him the deceased or those who have gone to other countries.

I think that we will be approximately 150 dogs or more.

We have good males and females, but it begins to excasear the contribution of new worn blood of out.

Our neighboring countries should have us already in consideration, so as already I say we have very good copies which well might be given to crossings with breeding of another country.

For May of next year it is a good occasion in order that owners avenge of out and could know the quality that already we have here. In this date one is going to produce the international exhibition of the centenary, in which in the same weekend it might obtain the championship of Spain

http://www.rsce.es/web/images/rsce/n...centenario.pdf

The only one problem for saying it somehow, is that it has to come blood of new lines that refresh what exists here.

When I can drive to spain with a CSW (not for wolfdog things ) I think the breeders from spain can also drive to an other country , If they want to. My dog is used to driving in the car, so he goes to sleeping mode when we are at the highways and goed into action when the car stops. It doesn't matter if we drive 6 hours or 1 hour or 16 hours

We even slept in a hotel in bordeaux sud without a problem

You can consider a small holiday in the country from the stud dog, or what you can do invite the stud dog into your country for a small holiday

Hola Alberto,

the chec wolfdog never will be a fashion dog in spain.
First, the spanish people usually don´t like animals very much
second, the economic problems increases.
third, there are only a few breeders in spain.
fourth, 150 population of chec wolfdogs in spain is really nothing.

Saludos a Madrid
Miguel

...I agree absolutly with you. This discusion apears a year ago and I did not understand the problem. Spain is not separated from Europe at all.
So, what??!!

I cannot see which "in consideration" other countries should have, when your bloodlines already exist in many, many lines in your neigbourhood countries.

This is false.
The first dog came in 2007, and in few mas of 2 years they are already approximately 150 copies. In what country does this happen?
The rest of Europa goes more time knowing to this one race and here not.
In Spain there resides historically one of the major populations of wild wolf. This does that there exists a great admiration for this animal and for everything what him looks alike.
There where we walk with our dogs we cause great admiration and amazement.
In a few years you will verify that the growth of the race in Spain is going to be very superior to that of the rest of the world.

The fact that dogs exist more or less it is not indicative of the quality. In several countries the quantity is very top but the quality is deficient.
If there are good copies though the total number is low. But they are not dogs that travel to contests of other countries and do not have "advertising" of there that does not know itself them.
All the lines have we? Do you know them your?
Spanish or breeding breeders who bandage dogs in Spain are different but not they all do it for the benefit of the race but rather for own benefit. There are persons in charge who seek to bring mas copies to enrich the population. Others only extract litters.

This is defintly not right. First dogs came in 2003
and the population grows as normal as in other countries. The population will stop to grow like in the past.
150 population is no fashion dog. It´s a dog that nobody will have.
That´s the truth!!!

That´s the truth!!!

That is for you a fashionable dog? The one that has major n º? The one that increases % his n º with regard to last year?

According to the RSCE http://www.rsce.es/web/images/rsce/V..._2004-2009.pdf
the race mas numerous in Spain is the yorkshire terrier with 81.000 dogs, and it suffered a decrease of 6.55 % in 2009 with regard to 2008
The second race is partor German with 61.000 dogs and it suffered a decrease of 5.38 %
The third one is golden retriever with 24.000 dogs and it suffered a decrease of 7.55 %
Would they be this that estan fashionable, attending to n º of dogs?

If it is for increase, let's see the results:
1 º. Eurasier, increase of 600 % happens from 1 dog to 7
2 º. Bloodhound of baviera, I increase of 428 %, it happens from 7 dogs to 37
3 º. Welsh Corgi 200 % from 5 to 15 dogs
4 º. Cao da Serra 200 % spends from 1 to 3 dogs
5 º. Terrier Russian 181 % from 11 to 31 dogs
6 º. Podenco Ibicenco 165 % spends from 55 to 146 dogs
7 º. Norfolk terrier 160 % spends from 5 to 13
8 º. Blue bloodhound gascuña 150 % from 2 to 5 dogs
9 º. check 122 % from 18 to 40 dogs

Would you be these races those that are fashionable?

If we remove the races with less than 40 we would be the second ones.

That´s the truth!!!
According to the VDH in Germany, in 2008 87 new puppies registered and in the alone 2009 60
Is so many difference with regard to Spain?
There is it fashionable, with a decrease?

Pedrocalle, I can sense you have huge problems with English, then I would like to kindly invite you to use Spanish forum.

It make more sense than try to write in English and not be fully understood by who is reading.

Everyone can read the Spanish forum at wolfdog.org, writting in properly Spanish the translator even makes a good work, I feel that's also why some breeders seems to fear use the wolfdog.org Spanish version.

Besides you can always pass a topic to other forum by opening a new topic and quoting what you want to continue there.
