Dog acting double dedication
This is my first "original" video - a double dedication primarily yo the dog acting pioneers.
Jean (a.k.a the Vitagraph Dog - border collie) Strongheart (German Shepherd - black and white film clips) The original Rin Tin Tin (German Shepherd - sepia colored film clips). Let me know what you think!

Doesn't Florek seem a perfect CSV service dog?
The film was made in 1937! Last edited by Rona; 07-06-2011 at 08:34. Reason: add. |

I can't find any information on Florek - was he Polish? Where can I find other information on him? It's interesting to see films like this that early in Europe. I didn't think dogs in film took off until after the 40's.

I found a PhD about the actor A. Dymsza in which the comedy "Niedrajda" is analyzed in great detail, but the dog is refered to as a GSD only, the alter ego of the main character, Florek. I asked about the dog on Polish wd. Maybe somebody will know more. |

Thank you - and if they speak English feel free to have them PM me, I'd like to have some international influential dogs on my site.
BTW - what's a breif rundown of what that scene is about? Was Florek popular (like Strongheart / Rin Tin Tin)?
