Dutch breeding rules:
In Holland we have 2 type of breeding rules:
BRS: breeding rules of the RBVH (Dutch kennel organization) for all breeds
and
RFR: specific breeding rules of a breed club
Breeding rules Raad van Beheer - BRS - The female is during covering not younger as 16 months
- During covering of her first litter a female is not older than 72 months
- A female is not allowed to be covered after the day she did become 96 months
- A female can have max 2 litters during 24 months and the time between covering first litter and second litter has to be minimal 10 months
- In Holland is not allowed that a female produces more than 5 litters
These combinations are not allowed:
- Parent/child
- Brother/sister
- Grandparent/grandchild
Breeding rules Dutch CsW club (RFR)
General:
- Both parents have to fulfill breed type, health and character as mentioned in the breed standard
- Both animals are not to be allowed related as parent/child or (half)brother, (half)sister
- The female is during covering not younger as 18 months
- During covering of her first litter a female is not older than 72 months
- A female can have max 2 litters during 24 months and the time between covering first litter and second litter has to be minimal 10 months
- The time of 24 months starts at the date of the first covering of the first litter
- During her life a female can have max 4 litters (and with a special permission 5)
- A male can have max 6 litters from the time he is 15 months (and with a special permission 7) during his life in Holland
- a combination male x female can be only repeat 1 time
Health:
- From male and female have to be made official HD x-rays before covering
These combinations are allowed:
HD A/- x HD A/-
HDA/- x HD B/TC
HD B/TC x HDB/TC
HDC/± x HD A/-
- Dogs with epilepsy are excluded from breeding
- Monorchide and cryptorchide males are excluded from breeding
Behavior:
- Male and female have to fulfill the behavior as mentionend in the breed standard
Exterior
- Both animals have to fulfill F.C.I. standard no. 332. There will not be breed with animals when a serious genetic problem is known or can be known.
- Breeding animals have to have 2 times a qualification minimal Very Good of 2 different judges on an official show
Males from abroad can be used when they are qualified as stud dog by Dutch club rules or the rules of the club in country of origin
