It's quite common for pups to have such problem. It might be just a reaction to changed environment (different set of germs), some kind of allergy, etc. In our case puppy Purina Pro Plan (rice and lamb) helped, together with elimination of poultry and change of all cleaning liquids, washing powders, etc. to very mild ones, so the pup had no contact with strong detergents.

Remember about HD precaution, don't let the pup run/walk up, and especially downstairs, and make sure the floors are not too smooth/polished. Most responsible owners carry the pup on the stairs as long as they are able to. Old carpets and rugs, that you can later throw away are practical, alternatively anti-slip cream for the paws might be used.
