Of course I would take X-rays and tests to make sure he's completely healthy before I would even think about breeding him [as well as make sure the bitch is healthy too.]
I got X-rays of my German Shepherd when she was young and she [sadly] had mild hip dysplasia even though her parents were certified 'good.'
I had her spayed to avoid the chance of her having the strain of puppies or any chance of her passing it on.
I just love my Wolfdog and he fits the perfect standerd of the breed and I think he would make beautiful sound pups with the right female.
