I think in general wolves and wolfdogs have sharper teeth than GSD or at least my CSW`s have sharper teeth than my old GSD ...also the figurant in the German shepherd club where we are training every sunday, is very impressed by my CSW`s teeth(size and sharpness) ...but to be honest I think many other things than teeth have something to say in this matter, wolfdogs seems to play more "violently"(many people think my dogs are fighting for real when they are just playing) also CSW have very quick reactions(some times too quick) and an ear can easily be at the wrong place at the wrong time ....my old GSD almost did bite my finger off by accident, as I wanted to remove some grass from his mouth and did not see that another dog(which my GSD did not like) was approaching us from the opposite direction of where I was looking and in same time as I put my finger inside the mouth of my GSD, he was barking and almost bited my finger off ...and we were both very surprised about the situation, because he was concentrated on the other dog and did not see my finger and I did not see the other dog and was concentrated on the grass in his mouth
CSW`s barks, growls and snap much more than GSD when communicating, so accidents can happen more easy ...at least this is my experience !

I did see some wolves at "animal planet" with missing tip of ear and if I remember correct one of the wolves at Prag zoo is also missing tip of the ear.

Greetings Rolf
