Barking on command
 

I think I have a real big problem :shock:.
Mine CSW barks as loud and as much as mine GSD did.
And mine CSW did IPO tracks 1,2,3 FH 1 and 2 and did pass them with more points then mine GSD did :rock_3.
So I must have a totally dumb idiotic CSW who like's to YAP :biggrina.

You forgot one "small thing" - your malinois.... 8) My dogs also yap - they learned it from our GSD-mix... Learned VERY fast as all bad things.... :twisted:
The master was Balrog who was able to yap subliminal - he almost didn't opened his mounts but his voice was able to drive people crazy... :lol:

But still: none of them would bark on command for 20 sec....

First off all, mine malinios is not a smal thing :peace!!

But if I did not have a malinios ;-) Nomad learned it from the dogs in the park :twisted:.
But they do bark :lol:, and if you really want and put some work in it, I believe you can make them bark on command for 20 sec ;-).
But they will not do it for defence, but they will for food ;-).
But they wil never bark like a malinios :grins, and I thank God for that :ail !!!

usually she is very silent even when somebody walk along fence or come to us. This is great because my neighbours will call the police after her first sound :(

I like the silent :) Noooo barking...

At least for 10-20 minute than even they get bored of it

The same here, but mainly for Jezebeth, when gets angry she starts to make exactly the same sound as Chewbacca :lol:

Living in a centre of town with many various neighbours, I just LOVE wolfdogs, who do not bark :roll: Brukne also sometimes says "au" - just once, like "you heard someone rang the door bell?" :smileyb

So mine must be a genius, only occassional woof, woof :):):) Last year I was trying to teach her barking, though all in vain, until our trainer asked me what I needed it for. Since I could not find a good answer we gave up and we have now a quiet wolfdog :p:) What's more, when Lorka sees barking dogs, she looks at them with kind of amused expression. :rock_3

Imbus - when GSDs are barking - is barking.
When wolves - f.e. on Tv are howling - is howling.

He barks on commend, howls on sound:))

Few days ago I heard Wolfdog howling outside - middle in the night.... I waked up, went outside, said "CALM DOWN!"....
Few second later, when I REALLY waked up I realized that not my dogs are howling because they are at home... I started to listen and... dogs of my neibours were howling. GSD and schnauzer-dachhund-mix. They were holing really like wolfdogs...

Not only CzW can learn... ;)

Maybe my wolfdog copied his barking from my german shepherd X that i owned , he died of old age. But now when we are going to the woods my boy is barking like madness, as my female dogs ( x german sheperhd en x shepherd) are silent.
I want to know where the off button is, because I cannot have a normal conversation when he is barking in the car.
I think I can teach him to bark on command but I don't want him to bark so I am not going to do that.

In het house he doesn't bark, only in the car when he thinks he is going to the woods. Oh and sometimes I have a private concert of howling they do it all 3 together and that sounds pretty nice :) also only when they think we go to the woods.

1, Stop going to the woods :lol:

Or...

2, Teach him to bark on command + Stop bark bark on command ;-)
