speying/neutering

I request that none of our pups are speyed/neutered until they are older (have properly matured) but have been queried on this by someone. Is there any scientific evidence to back up that our breed mature later? Also, is there any evidence (even anecdotal) that says later speying/neutering is best? I stick by my belief that it is better done later, but would like to have some evidence to back it up.

Thanks everyone :)

castration if being done for routine reasons is best done later when the dogs growth plates have closed,i did have some links about this i will try and find them, also a nervous dog can benefit from its testosterone through their fear stages, the last one being when the dog is a teenager

again spaying young (pre season) you can run the risk of 'stump-pyo's' and they say it can contribute to u.i when older......
